I’m always astonished at the lack of logic that goes with targeted advertising. This is a true story (not that its much of a story, since I’m sure we’ve all been there). I once bought a mattress online and was harried for months afterward by several online mattress stores. The logic was baffling. Maybe I’m just using my mattresses wrong if other people seem to need replacements within days of purchasing a new one. A truly “targeted” advertisement would have been for products that I use in bed. Now I’m not going to go into detail over the types of things I use in bed, but lets just say the list is sizable and that there was a very large market just begging to be exploited.
